Measuring
Measure the length of the run (preferably in metric). Divide this figure by the width of one panel plus one post (see ERECTING below). This will give the approximate number of panels needed. Ignoring figures after the decimal place multiply this number by( panel plus post figure). Deduct this from length of run. From the resulting figure deduct posts width( two unless final post not needed) to give width of final panel. If in doubt ring for advice.
Erecting
Norfolk Reed Fencing is simple to erect. Use either galvanised nails or screws to fix the panels directly to posts through the edging battens. To fix the posts either use post anchors or concrete them in. If using post anchors the posts should be the same height as the panels. If concreting them in use posts approximately 1/3 longer than the panels. 75mm posts are suitable to fix all panels up to 1800mm high unless the situation is particularly exposed, when 100mm posts should be used for 1800mm high panels and higher.
Posts and post anchors
Green-treated posts which match the timber used in the panels, post anchors and galvanised nail packs for fixing panels are all available from stock.
