Types of panel
There are two types of panel: framed panels and open panels. Both have a substantial gravelboard at the bottom to keep reed clear of the ground. The reed is firmly sandwiched between treated timber battens. The reed in open panels is trimmed with either a straight top or a wavy top. Framed panels have a chamfered timber capping to shed rainwater.
Gates
Open top or framed gates up to 1800mm high and 1200mm wide can be supplied from stock. They are braced with diagonal battens on both sides.
Special sizes and types (prices on application)
You may want panels of a non-standard size to finish off a length or to match an existing fence. Any height up to 2100mm and widths over 1800mm can be made, as can panels which slope at the top, bottom or both.
You may want to add to the height of a wall to gain privacy or protection from the wind. Panels from 300mm upwards in height can be made for this purpose. Bolt down post anchors may be used to fix the posts if the wall is sound. Otherwise fix posts behind the wall.
Trellis
Trellis either 600 or 900mm in height may be incorporated into any framed panel.
